Request Terms
Version 2026-08-09
These terms apply when you send a gift request through this site. They are written to be read, not to be hidden. Sending a request means you agree to them.
1 A request is not an order
Sending the request form starts a conversation. It does not create an order, reserve a date, or commit either of us to anything.
Your order exists only once we have replied, agreed on what is being made, agreed on the price, and confirmed the date in writing. Until then, availability and pricing can change, and we may be unable to take the request at all.
2 Food, ingredients and allergies
Please read this section carefully if you or the recipient has a food allergy.
Gifts may include food prepared in a kitchen that also handles common allergens, including nuts, peanuts, wheat and gluten, dairy, eggs, and soy. Baskets may also contain items made by other producers, and we cannot control how those items were manufactured or packaged.
We take allergy information seriously and will do our best to work around what you tell us, but we cannot guarantee that any gift is free from a given allergen or from cross-contact.
You are responsible for telling us about allergies and dietary restrictions in your request, and for telling us how severe they are. If an allergy is severe or life-threatening, please say so explicitly, and consider whether a food gift is the right choice at all.
Please pass allergen and ingredient information on to whoever receives the gift, since they did not place the order and cannot know what is in it.
3 Pricing and payment
Because everything is made to order, prices depend on the size of the gift and what goes into it. Any figure discussed before confirmation is an estimate, not a fixed price.
Payment terms are agreed with you directly before the gift is made.
4 Changes and cancellations
Tell us as early as you can if something needs to change. Before we have started sourcing and preparing your gift, changes are usually easy.
Once work has started, changes may not be possible, and ingredients or items already bought for your order may still need to be paid for. Perishable items cannot be resold once made.
5 Delivery and collection
We deliver locally to Elkhart, Mishawaka, and nearby communities. If you are outside that area, send the request anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
Please give us an accurate address and a time when someone can receive the gift. We are not responsible for a gift that is damaged, spoiled, or taken after it has been delivered to the address you gave us, or left there at your request.
Fresh and perishable items should be refrigerated or enjoyed promptly.
6 If something is wrong
Tell us as soon as possible, and send photos if the problem is with how the gift arrived. Every gift is made by one person, so problems are dealt with personally.
Where something is genuinely our mistake, we will put it right, by remaking the item or refunding it, whichever makes more sense.
7 Limits
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as the cost of a replacement gift bought elsewhere or the value of an event.
8 Your information
We use the details in your request only to reply to you and to prepare your gift. We do not sell them, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Requests are stored so we have a record of what was agreed. If you would like your details removed, reply to your confirmation email and ask.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than a bot.
9 Photos of your gift
We may photograph gifts we make and use those photos to show our work. Photos will not include your name, your message, the recipient, or any personal details. If you would rather we did not photograph your gift, just say so in your request and that is the end of it.
10 Getting in touch
Questions about any of this are welcome. Ask them in your request, or reply to your confirmation email, and you will get a real answer.
